This half day session will give you an understanding of the issues around suicide and recognise the signs that someone might need help
It isn’t a conversation anyone wants , but it could be one of the most important conversation you ever have.
How confident are you talking about suicide?
You might be working with a client and feel concerned about them. Maybe you are worried about a colleague.
-What are the signs that alert you to the fact someone might be thinking of suicide?
-How do you start the conversation?
-What can you do to help?
This half day session will give you an understanding of the issues around suicide and show you how to recognise the signs that someone might need help. It gives you the knowledge, confidence and language to talk about suicide and how to signpost best available support.
The course is open to people living in the LIVERPOOL CITY REGION (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, or Halton).
As this project is funded by the European Social Fund, you will need to provide evidence of right to work in the UK and fill in a registration form. One of our team will be in touch to collect this from you before the course starts.
